Lee Marshall is originally from New Zealand, not AUSTRALIA, and has been living in the United States for 14 years. Last century he sold Radio when life was good and it was all low hanging fruit… it was called the 1980’s. How times have changed! He also worked for a creative firm in New Zealand, Canada and the United States, working with TV and Radio companies in local direct and creative advertising sales. He has 23 years experience in Media sales, training sales people in media in 5 countries.
Lee established in1997 New Revenue Solutions, LLC (now known as NRS Media), a premier company in its industry focusing on local media sales and training solutions for Radio, Television and Print with his sidekick Kerry (his brother… the more talented one). Lee was a Director and President/ Chief Operating Officer of New Revenue Solutions, based in Atlanta, for the United States and Canadian Company for 10 years. After leaving New Revenue Solutions, Lee jumped into the new and compelling world of the future of Media sales, “the Internet”.
Lee will use his experience that over the last ten years cumulatively generated over $700 Million for the clients of New Revenue Solutions, in this new and exciting opportunity for Media. He currently resides in Seattle, Washington with his partner Whitney. He has inherited two teenage boys Ryan and Matthew, a neurotic dog called Kobe, three cats Cleo, Sadie and the mad and crazy Lindy.
His interests are concerts, movies and watching for the sun to appear in Seattle. His favorite comedian is Eddie Izzard and if you get his humor you will get Lee’s. Cake or Death!
Roy Hawker was born in the cold south of New Zealand in 1972. With a passion for sales and marketing Roy’s first job in Media was in 1993 as a Radio Account Executive in Dunedin New Zealand. In 2003 Roy, his wife Sharon and their two boys Anthony (13) and Rico (9) moved to Sydney Australia where an idea he developed for media acquisition was purchased by a media consulting company. Roy consulted internationally for the firm five years before leaving in early 2007 to start up WOMF. Many of Roy’s ideas and systems are now in active use in media organizations throughout the world.
After years of listening to SME’s challenges with advertising, Roy was determined to provide a platform where the small businesses that do a great job could compete with the big boys without budgets being the determining factor. In Roy’s opinion, WOMF™ is a natural evolution of where effective communication needs to go as it confronts today’s biggest challenge for businesses, consumers’ ‘lack of trust in advertising.’
Roy is an avid rugby fan and, as a player, his achievements include making the New Zealand 7’s squad in 1998 along with representing his province Otago at the highest level in Rugby, Touch Rugby, 7’s and Rugby League. Roy and his family are now based in the Gold Coast of Australia catching up on all the sunshine hours they never saw in Dunedin.
Dennis Kubacak is an entrepreneurial finance executive with extensive experience in business & financial management at Media, Sales, and Technology companies. He has an outstanding background in managing growth, increasing shareholder value, and enhancing profitability for start-ups and high growth companies.
Dennis served as the CFO for Spohn Consulting, a telecommunications and network security firm in Austin, Texas, and was the CFO at New Revenue Solutions in Atlanta, Georgia. New Revenue Solutions drove over $80 million annually in local direct advertising for media companies such as Cox Communications, Clear Channel and CBS Viacom.
Prior to that, he was the Director of Finance and Accounting at ON TARGET, INC., a global sales training and consulting firm with offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Geneva Switzerland, serving high technology clients including AT&T, Cisco, IBM, Dell, and Hewlett Packard in over 20 countries. Dennis helped ON TARGET grow from $20M to $70M in revenue through organic growth and acquisitions and sell the company to Siebel Systems, Inc. in 2000.
Dennis has also served as a Controller for a top 25 Atlanta law firm specializing in intellectual property and spent 7 years with Arthur Andersen & Co., in Dallas, Texas.
A native of Austin, Texas, Dennis graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas. Dennis enjoys spending time on the lakes in Austin, playing with his lab Tex, and rooting on his beloved Longhorns football team.
Wendy Marks Woodson, the lone female animal on the team to date, joins WOMF™ with over 22 years of sales and marketing experience.
She began her post-college career with Fidelity Investments in Boston, MA. She started there as a Client Service Representative, and over the next 7 years worked as an Investment Education Consultant, Sales Consultant with the Marketing and Education group and marketing partner to the largest 401k sales team in the country. She worked with Account Executives to assist in adding over $1,500,000,000.00 in assets to Fidelity’s Retirement Management. She’s also worked as an Internal Sales Consultant and Premier Client Manager at Bank of America in Charlotte, NC and Dallas, TX.
Wendy eventually found her place in Advertising Sales with Lee Marshall and Dennis Kubacak at NRS Media in Atlanta, GA in May of 2004. There she was a very successful Account Director – one who was consistently requested by her clients to remain their sales trainer and contact with NRS.
Her goal is to ensure that as we bring WOMF™ to the United States, we work with the right partners, sell to the right businesses, and do the right thing each and every step of the way. In her words: “We’re working to make sure that businesses grow by word of mouth – and will always make sure those mouths have only great things to say about us! We want the respect of our partners, our advertisers and our bloggers. That is how we will all ultimately build each WOMF™ community site to its fullest potential.”
Wendy is a native Texan and is very proud of having graduated from the University of Texas at Austin like Dennis. She and her husband Chad live in Dallas, TX. She did at one time travel as a hobby, and completed her goal of going to every Continent on the planet. That hobby has since been replaced by her work and her proudest accomplishment: Benjamin Thomas Woodson.
To Jason Boles, nothing is more exciting than teaching someone... teaching them the skill of selling, managing others or running a business... and knowing it will serve them forever. He believes few joys trump seeing someone you helped get started succeed.
He has a vast background in sales and sales consulting in business to business sales; specialty focus in media and real estate. The geographical representation of his sales training experience includes the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America.
As the President of Superior Impacto he brings expertise in sales management as well as selling to work alongside organizations to develop the personal communication skills of managers and sellers using the behavioral sciences and expert processes by which leadership and persuasion are honed.
Prior to launching Superior Impacto, Jason was the South American Director of Sales and Operations for New Revenue Solutions where he led their media partners' sales teams, and implemented NRS’ proven systems for the development of local advertising revenue from non-traditional sources. He also served as their Director if Business Development, Financial Officer and Account Director for NRS during his tenure. This breadth of experience has lead to a complete understanding of every aspect of this industry, and Jason brings every ounce of that knowledge to bear on Superior Impacto and its clients.
